Fallin in love with fall

Fallin in love with fall

Hey friends!

I know it’s been a minute, but I’m back... Just to give you an update on my life, I’m in the process of changing my major and I needed to take a break from blogging in order to really figure out what I want to do. As a junior in college, this has been a pretty stressful situation because no one wants to transition into a major that will add on 4 semesters to their time in school.

Don’t get me wrong, I like school (to some extent), but not enough to stay for two more years. But that’s enough of that...today we’re talking about 3 reasons I’m "fallin."

Yes, I’m fallin...but not the type of falling Alicia Keys was talking about. I’m talking about falling in love and embracing all that autumn has to offer.

It seems as if there’s one thing we can agree on, it’s definitely the fact (not opinion) that fall is the best season ever. Namely because of fall fashion, fall flowers, the state fair, and of course, fall weather.

3 Reasons I’m Fallin (in love with fall):

I’m not your average girl when it comes to fashion, shopping, and beauty trends (most of the time). I don’t live for putting together cute outfits and styling/profiling on a regular basis. However, when fall comes around you can best believe that you will catch me putting more effort into my look because, let’s just be honest...fall clothing is the most flattering. I recently went shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Mebane and racked up on some great fall deals. Check out some of my favorite purchases below.

The Fall Shawl | Ivory Serenity Lace Kimono from Francesca’s Collections

As a fan of sweaters, cardigans, wraps, and more, this lace kimono fits me very well. Nothing screams “fall” more than warm shades of burgundy and flowy clothing transforming you into a fairy. This piece normally goes for about $40, but I got it for $20 during a buy one, get one half off sale.

Sweater Weather | Textured Knit Sweater from Old Navy

Now THIS  is the definition of  cozy. I got this super cute sweater in the Old Navy clearance section for just $10 - I kid you not. It keeps me warm and brings out the kid in me. It’s comfortable and can be worn in a variety of ways, no matter the occasion. It can be dressed up and dressed down.

Cuties in Booties | Ibylia from Aldo Shoes

Words cannot express how happy I am to have these babies.  I searched HIGH and LOW for the perfect pair of cognac ankle boots and after weeks of searching, I finally found them in Aldo. These shoes are an outlet exclusive but you can also get them online. And because they’re on sale, you can save $35. These boots came out to be $85 - well over my college-student budget, but hey...where would a girl be without her boots?

BONUS: Teezy’s Green Vegan Nail Polish | Peace of Color

Usually, I prefer bright colors on my nails - shades of pink, salmon, red/orange, etc. When I walk into a nail salon, my friends know that I’m either going to come out with a French manicure or one of the colors mentioned above. However, Nayna from Peace of Color sent me this awesome shade of green from their vegan nail polish line and I quickly realized that this is the color I never knew I needed.

I'm curious. What are some of your fall favorites?
